Wrist injuries

John and Marilyn have have both had none cycling injuries to their wrists this year, John following on from Marilyn's winter fall recently.

Memorial Rides Sunday 10th September 2017.
This Sunday's rides' traditionally mark the day we remember past members, usually with a special event or challenge. This year we are inviting our various ride groups to meet for, after ride, coffee, tea and cakes.

The picture below is of a memorial seat in the village of Lund, which was a favourite stop for Ida Pratt.

Sunday Ride 3/09/17 Allerthorpe

A good turnout for a pleasant warm and dry ride, out via Lund, for coffee, then onto Allerthorpe for lunch. We were waved off by an injured Mel and a not injured Rachel.  Derny J suffered 2 snakebites during a furious gritty descent. Return by Newbald. Don't be fooled by the number of Starva trophies Long Tom was allocated, as his GPS is new and represents many first attempts!

Alan and Ray temporally off the bike

Alan A recovering from knee surgery and Ray R from a collarbone/chest injury after a fall on his bike, speedy recovery to both.

Sunday Ride Report 27/08/17 – Vehicle Assisted to Sledmere.

A warm sunny day for John's ride to Dalby Forest starting from Sledmere village at 9:30. Coffee stop at the golf courses at Snainton with an option for 'foot golf ?' and then on over the mountains to the back entrance of a packed Dalby forest. The lavender farm at Terrington provided tea and ice-cream before the pull over the wolds back to Sledmere and tea on the village green courtesy of Tom.

Thursday Ride Report 24/08/17 – Storwood Cafe

A pleasant ride to a new home conservatory cafe near Melbourne which also provided timely shelter from a heavy rain shower. Derny Jim provided an element of motor pacing and uphill assistance (asked for or not) on his super efficient new e-bike. Welcome to Jeff.
