Spring Standard Rides – March 2015 Results

The Spring Standard Ride this year was more of a challenge than usual because of a strong gusting wind and a few people said "Never again". But no one takes much notice as after a cup of tea the hard times are forgotten, although the wind particularly hampered the riders doing the seventy miles route as they headed west into its full force on the homeward leg.

The day was sunny and dry for the fifty-two cyclist that started and I hope enjoyable, unfortunately one rider had to drop out and three never returned, at least not to the start! Thanks to all those that turned up and there will be possibly more of the same next year.

Thanks for organising, John. At least I made it out on the right day this time, even if I was too late for the start. Waved to the 35-ers anyway – and a ride is a ride, yes? 😀
