Report on the GHS rides – 13th April 2014

Another successful event, although numbers were down from last year, mainly because of the start of the Easter Break, Hull Thursday's Keith Carter Road Race and the major football in the City, a field of 51 riders started. Eight riders started the 102 mile event, which went to Castle Howard. 26 riders started the 74 mile event going to Thixendale and 17 riders took part in the 57 mile ride, just going to Pocklington. Many said they opted to do the shorter ride in order to get back early to watch the major football match.

It was quiet, a cool westerly wind, but sunny and it stayed dry for once and by the chatter in the HQ riders seems to have enjoyed the day.

Thanks to Jim, Marilyn and John who helped on the day.
