Bike bus holiday to France 2024

Simon is available to take our group to France during the first three weeks of June 2024. He is suggesting Crac’h in southern Brittany. We have been before, in May 2019 and it was a nice area to cycle around, with Auray, Carnac, Quiberon & Isle Moines not far away. Mablethorpe ride, (18 & 19 October)

Another one of David C’s well organised short holidays, to Mablethorpe this time. After loading our overnight bags into Janet’s car, we set of from the Humber bridge car park, into a strong & gusty south westerly wind. We managed to make reasonable progress through the morning & got to The Swallow Inn around 1.30 for a well deserved coffee & a rest. Great turn out for a Thursday ride.

A lovely sunny October Thursday morning brought a large group out for our ride to Hutton Cranswick. The ladies at South Dalton village hall were a little surprised when around 20 of us turned up for tea / coffee. They coped very well & we soon had hot drinks, cakes & biscuits. Nice to see two new riders joining us, (John & Ken).

Sledmere to Dalby M.A. ride

There was a good turn out of twelve riders for the motor assisted ride, starting in Sledmere & going up to Dalby forest. Reasonable weather for mid September, we left Sledmere around 10 am & cycled through Kirby Grindalythe, West Lutton & on to Yedingham. The planned route to Thornton Le Dale was too muddy, so a five or six mile detour was required. Brunch stop in a busy Thornton Le Dale & then back on the road to Ellerburn. […]
