The Humber Bridge car park has changed. The first car park which we normally use for our meeting place has closed for the foreseeable future. You need to continue down (to where the covid testing station was) & there is a car park there with plenty of space.

Brian Middleton, obituary

Sadly Brian Middleton, died on the 18th May after a short illness, last year he’d received his special badge and certificate for being a member of the CTC for fifty years. Brian started riding in Leeds before moving to Aldborough with his job. With Sheila they soon made contact with local cyclists and rode for many years with a mixed Tandem group, also going on one of Simon’s holidays. Hornsea ride – Hidden Abbey !

A group of nine joined for the Thursday ride to Hornsea on the 19th May. The floral hall always offers a good range of lunchtime snacks / meals. A few of us found that the ‘full’ cooked breakfast was too much to manage !. On the return ride just past Bewholme we found the 12th century Nunkeeling Priory, set up by benedictine nuns in 1152.
