North Dalton village hall Thursday coffee mornings 2025 :- 6th Feb, 6th March, 3rd April & 1st May.

Plans are now underway for some cycling holidays this year. There’s a week long tour of Holland cycling northerly up the coast from Europoort & passing over the Ijsselmeer. There is also a ride to Louth with an overnight stop-over there. The three day trip to Norfolf sounds very interesting, it’s a great area for cycling. Other holidays to follow.  

This years Christmas lunch at the Cottingham Parks golf club went really well, thanks to Sheila Mullen’s excellent arrangements.  Many thanks Sheila. Twenty three of us enjoyed the afternoon. With Pete Dunn & Sheila Sampson being awarded ‘Thank you’ & ‘Life time achievement’  certificates.

Dave Cowood arranged our summer cycling holiday to Holland. Nine of us took the Monday evening ferry to Rotterdam and after a nice meal and a nights rest, we began our journey through the fantastic Dutch cycle paths & trails, (wish we had these in the UK). Our East Yorkshire CTC group has arranged for a ‘memorial seat’, to be installed at our Skidby meeting point. The memorial seat, is mainly intended for one of our hard working members, Peter Dove, who recently passed away. But it is also to include other members of our group, no longer with us. Our thanks to Dave Berger, who has done the majority of the work to arrange this tribute.          

GRAHAM construction have now installed traffic lights at the Bentley junction to assist with pedestrians & cyclists trying to cross the road.
